Speaking of pigs, I just read The Patron Saint of Pigs in Let it Snow and loved it! Addie was such a fabulously un-self-aware character, and the whole story was so funny and fun.

Yaaaaaaaay! It was awfully fun to write, too. ANd you nailed it with Addie: she is VAIR VAIR un-self-aware. ;)

Re: Bobby??
Bobby is NOT my son, actually. He's Nat's brother. (And Nat is a delightful readergirl who visits the blog...)

But...wherefore art thou, Nat? You must show Bobby his b-day pressie from me!

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY BOBBY!

I remember when I turned it eight...I got in-line skates! And I didn't have to go to school, and I had cake! but, I had my skates taken from me that same day for tying a rope around my friend's bike and having him haul me around that way. It was fun, until we crashed into his dad's truck, then it was fantastic! Then we got caught, and he got in more trouble than me because he was older. But it was all good. Man! being eight was AWESOME!

did u c what a mom wrote on the ttyl argument?
i wrote that your books were endearing, and she said, "these books r anything but endearing."
not to tattle, but that lady should keep her rudeness to herself. she obviously needs to learn QUITE a bit about parenting and your books.

I'm about halfway through Let it Snow right now and loving it! It's a nice surprise, 'cause I can be a real humbug about holiday-themed books and movies. <3

Oooooh I finished Let It Snow last night and I LOVED your piggie story! I've actually been having similar issues in my "grown up" relationship so it made me feel all mushy and sad and happy. So I set it up with a staff card at the store today - will make a great Xmas gifts for mushy teens!

Okay, this is a litlle off topic. (I'm always off topic so it doesn't matter.) But you did mention John Green on the video...
Paper Towns is now one of my favorite books! I finished reading it at 5 this morning. I slept like, 5 hours after that. I want to be just like Margo Roth Spiegelman when I grow up. Ha ha.
Ooh, I'm venturing onto another topic now.
Why haven't the other authors done they're Scare-A-Thon? Didn't Sarah M. promised to do hers the week after Halloween?
Ok. I think that's all.
